How to Stick to Your Workout Routine Forever

Hello friends, so I have an update for you on my previous fitness post. The one where I was embarking on a 15-day challenged with Karina Elle, (my fit model challenge). Here’s the deal, I’ve blogged about this before so I’m not surprised that ended up here.

But to paraphrase my previous blog in one sentence: If you’re having trouble sticking to a workout routine, you’re not the problem, it’s what you’ve signed up for that’s the problem.

So once again I confirmed what I previously learned. If you’ve ever sign up for a workout regimen only to realize moments into it that you’ve made a terrible mistake, I’m with you! Though I’m a huge fan of yoga, sometimes I feel like I should be doing more, more, more just so that I can get fast results! This crazy way of thinking makes me think that yoga is not the answer to my problem. And so the search for other fitness programs begins. This is how I ended up at Karina’s Elle fitness program. I kid you not, I got two exercises in and I was like I’m out! Please don’t misunderstand, it’s not because I don’t want to push myself or get out of my comfort zone that I stopped. The simple truth is, I just don’t like or enjoy those types of workouts. Just like there are millions out there that don’t like yoga.

That said, I didn’t beat myself up for not going forward with the program. Instead, I decided to regroup and get back on my fitness journey. That is when I decided to challenge myself by practicing yoga that challenges me a lot more. Rather than seeing yoga as a meditative fitness program, I thought, going forward I will push my workouts to the limit. Immediately, I hit the net and found a yoga practice that kicked my butt. Every inch of my body was sore after my workout. And, unlike the previous challenge I’d signed up for, I’m happy to report that I have stuck to my vigorous practice, just as I expected and I feel amazing!

I encourage you to read my previous post because I go into detail about finding a fitness program that works for you. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this: This year do not be discourage if you’ve started and stopped a fitness program. Do not be discourage if you didn’t even start. The reason this happened is because you haven’t fallen in love with an exercise program yet. I promise you that once you find what you enjoy, you will never stop. It will be a part of your life, like breathing.

Till Next Time!
