Juicing for Writers

Have you ever needed to finish a project ASAP? A project that you're very passionate about but somehow you don't have the clarity nor the energy needed to complete it? If you're with me, then I've got an easy fix for you.

Said project, for me, was finishing my novel so that I could get it in the hands of my Beta Readers. With the urgency to complete my novel this year, I decided to do a little research on how to organically get some energy. What I found was green juicing. These past two weeks I replaced my breakfast with a green juice and as result, I had increased energy which helped me complete the editing of my 2nd draft.

I wanted to share this information with my readers in case you're in need of a little boost. The reason green juicing works for increasing energy is because of chlorophyll, which is the green pigment in the plants; which helps to bring oxygen to the blood creating an increase in brain function.

If you're more visual you can check out the video here, but then come on back for the recipes.

Like I said in the video, this first recipe is not my own and found it on the net, however, this same recipe was found over and over again throughout many different articles regarding the benefits of juicing, and so I thought this one must really work,

Article from

1 large cucumber
8 stalks celery
1 handful kale
1 handful spinach
1 handful parsley
1/4 lemon (with rind if organic)
1-inch piece ginger

Plus, I added about a cup of water.

The 2nd recipe is the one I used to help me to finish my novel. It's our own recipe and it is DELICIOUS!

1 one ripe banana

5 chunks of frozen pineapple

5 chunks of frozen mango

1 handful of spinach

8 oz of apple juice (make sure your apple juice only has "apples" as the ingredient, you don't want to add unnecessary ingredients, like added sugars)

There you have it. If you try these recipes and they help you get your project completed, or in any other way, leave me a comment below. If you have other recipes you want to share I would love to hear from you.

Until Next Time!
